When energized, the solenoid valve coil converts electrical input into a linear magnetic pull that drives the valve spool or poppet fitted onto hydraulic, pneumatic and process valves. It is a compact enclosed coil wound with enameled copper wire on a bobbin and built around a fixed armature tube, moving the valve member against a return spring. The coil uses H-class 180 C insulation and a compact envelope, rated over DC 12-24 V and AC 220 V, with a working stroke of 2-15 mm, a rated thrust of 8-50 N and power draw up to 15 W. On de-energizing, the spring returns the valve member, so the coil controls flow without manual adjustment. Because it bolts onto an existing valve body, the cavity size, mounting interface and pinout matter as much as the electrical ratings.
Valve coils are replacement and original-equipment parts that must drop onto an existing valve body, so production runs from the customer's valve drawing rather than from a generic catalogue size: the bobbin envelope, cavity depth, lead orientation and pinout are matched to that specific valve, and the same drawing governs both production and inspection. As a high-volume standard component, the coil is produced in regular batches with winding and encapsulation held to the drawing, with a sample approved before tooling so the committed batch matches the tested resistance, stroke and thrust.
